DUI Suspected After Car Veers Into 8 Members of High School Track Team

- Anaheim police say Alva-Palafox displayed objective signs of intoxication, prompting a DUI investigation while he was hospitalized and cuffed shortly after on suspicion of DUI.
- Video footage showed multiple injured student-athletes, boys and girls ages 16 and 17, bleeding near a nearby brick wall as at least five were treated on scene before hospital transport.
- By Thursday morning, seven hospitalized victims included four released, and officials say the students are expected to survive with ongoing medical care at local hospitals.
