After several days of exceeding regulatory ozone thresholds in the air, the Upper Rhine will be placed on a pollution alert on Wednesday, July 2. The high ozone concentration is expected to continue for a few more days. The maximum speed on the fast lanes will be reduced by 20 km/h.

An episode of ozone pollution is currently under way in the Lyon Basin and North Isère. The Rhone prefecture triggered the orange alert from Wednesday 2 July, accompanied by emergency measures. See more
