Hetty van de Wouw has become the first European champion in the kilometer time trial. The 26-year-old from Brabant achieved a world record of 1.04.497 in the Belgian Heusden-Zolder and was thus much faster than Martina Fidanza from Italy and Clara Schneider from Germany.
Hetty van de Wouw has more than lived up to her nickname 'Hetty Raketty'.
