CDU politician Henning Otte to become new military officer

The CDU MP Otte has confirmed his candidacy as the defense officer of the Bundestag.

An officer of the reserve becomes a new military officer of the Bundestag: CDU politician Henning Otte takes over the post from his SPD predecessor Eva Högl. In future he will act as an "lawyer of the soldiers".

The black-red coalition wants to propose Henning Otte as the new military officer of the Bundestag. The CDU politician brings with him a lot of experience: he is a reserve officer, was in the defence committee and spokesman of the Union faction.

The military officer is a soldier's lawyer and is supposed to help the parliament in the control function. The task is now to take over a defence politician of the Union.

Anne König joins the CDU/CSU parliamentary group as a family political spokesperson and becomes an important partner of the new Federal Minister for Family Affairs.

Henning Otte has just been nominated for the office of Parliamentary Commissioner for the Armed Forces.
