On ten bricks of cell no. 58 in Poznań's Fort VII, someone carved the words: "Honour to the heroes who perished in tears and blood." Today, over 80 years after these tragic events, police technicians have entered the death cells. Treating the former camp as a crime scene, forensic scientists are searching the crevices of the walls for the last traces, names, and letters of those whom the Germans tried to condemn to eternal oblivion.
