On Tuesday afternoon, a medical emergency at the wheel led to a serious accident and a full lock-up on the A23 near Itzehoe. Because it was initially suspected that several people were trapped in the wreckage, a large contingent of rescue forces broke out – also the rescue helicopter Christoph 67 landed on the motorway.
