On the Anatolian Highway, in the Arifiye area of Sakarya, a car driven by 25-year-old Infantry Specialist Corporal D.C.G., serving in the 23rd Commando Brigade Command in Istanbul, rear-ended a truck that had stopped on the road due to a breakdown. The car's roof was ripped off and the young soldier was thrown around in the collision. He sustained serious injuries and, despite all efforts at Sapanca State Hospital, he could not be saved and died.
