The Social Security will now cover about one third of the cost of Miyosmart glasses for young patients suffering from strong or progressive myopia. A decree, published in the Official Journal on Tuesday, 17 June, states that sickness insurance will now reimburse part of the glasses that slow the evolution of myopia in children. By 2022, the High Health Authority had considered these glasses to be an interesting innovation.

The Miyosmart glasses of the Japanese group Hoya aim to correct and stop the development of myopia in the child. They will be partly reimbursed by the Social Security.
