The stoppage convened by the National Union of Public Service Workers and Entities (STTS) covers all health professionals. It includes a demonstration in Lisbon and aims to demand better salaries, recruitment of staff and replacement of withdrawn rights.
Health workers today start a two-day strike to claim better wages and decent working conditions, a protest that also includes a demonstration in Lisbon. "The strike will cover all workers in the health sector, regardless of their union ties, careers or affiliations, and will take place between 00:00 and 24:00 on May 04 and 05," says the National Union of Public Service Workers and Entities (STTS).
