Óscar Noé Medina González, also known as "El Panu" was also a key figure in Los Chapitos' drug trafficking operations, including its expansion of fentanyl distribution in Mexico and the United States.
The winter and holiday season ‘not the best’ for Los Chapitos, and over the years some of his most important arrests have been reported, from his leader, Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán, on January 8, 2016, to his son, Ovidio Guzmán ‘El Ratón’. The most recent case would be that of Óscar Medina, also known as ‘El Panu, who was killed at the Luau restaurant in the Rosa Zone of Mexico City after a shooting on Sunday night, December 21.
Óscar Noé Medina González, alias "El Panu", executed on Sunday night in a restaurant in the Zona Rosa, was one of the closest men of Los Chapitos, a key piece in his security apparatus and direct participant of the Culiacanazo of October 2019, according to federal records. Medina González was murdered inside the restaurant Luaú, in the Colonia Juárez, when a hit man entered the place and shot him more than 10 times before fleeing on a motorcycle.
María José Rojo was identified as the wife of ‘Panu’, Oscar Noe Medina González, murdered in Mexico City (CDMX), on the night of December 21.According to journalist Carlos Jiménez, María José Rojo was at the site of the attack where her husband died and lied about his identity on the arrival of the authorities.
