HCPS face million dollar problem
MONTEREY — The Highland County School Board added a new section for board comments to its monthly agenda April 11, and chair Jason Wilfong started off the new tradition with a bang that is sure to reverberate throughout the county.
Wilfong took the allotted time to share that the Virginia Department of Education Office of Budget is demanding Highland County submit more than a million dollars to the treasurer of Virginia by June 30.
