Hays educator gets butterfly grant

Hays STEAM Academy will soon be alive with butterflies-to-be thanks to a $979.62 Teacher Assistance Program grant garnered by Instructional Coach Alisha Pierce. The grant, which comes through the Education Foundation, will provide caterpillars to every prekindergarten through fifth-grade classroom on campus so students can learn about their life cycle from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly.
