The Hawk Fire burned 481 acres and prompted evacuation orders while firefighters worked to contain it, achieving 76% containment by Saturday afternoon.

The Hawk Fire in Acton was 76% contained Saturday afternoon after burning 481 acres, a fire official said. The fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday in the 35900 block of North Trenmar Drive, south of Ritter Ranch Park, in an area north of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
