Jean-Marc Peillex, mayor of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, literally ran out with 32 climbers who asked the municipality to arrange a helicopter rescue. They were all stranded in the Goûter hut on Mont Blanc at an altitude of 3,800 meters above sea level.
