Researchers at Uppsala University have investigated how audiobooks affect sleep for people who use audiobooks to fall asleep in the evening. Among other things, the study concluded that listening can lead to a kind of addiction, as 83 percent of the participants in the study stated that they had difficulty falling asleep without an audiobook after they got used to falling asleep to such.
