Halifax – Water levels at Lake Major and Pockwock Lake continue to be lower than normal, prompting the Halifax Water utility to invoke conservation measures. Extreme drought has led to the measures which could become mandatory, the utility warned, if water usage isn’t reduced. Measures include not flushing urine, reducing shower time and frequency and washing only full loads of laundry. CBC News report
