Hair Flew and Blood Flowed. Bears Irina and Bruno Met in Děčín

The Decin Zoo has had a tense morning. After fourteen days since the arrival of eleven-year-old bear Irina, her first meeting with Bruno, a bear two years younger than her, took place on Monday. Firefighters assisted in the mating, ready to disperse any possible scuffle with a stream of water.

Kamchatka bears from the Decin Zoo have had their first meeting. On Monday, zoo workers, under the supervision of firefighters and veterinarians, released Bruno and Irina into the enclosure together. It was not without minor scuffles.
