The last half of June saw over 1000 hail reports across western Canada with the vast majority of them coming from Saskatchewan. Prairie Weather (Rural Roots Canada) – Heavy rain, strong winds, and large hail have damaged crops throughout the Prairies. From June 21 to 28, more than 1,250 crop damage claims were made, according to the Canadian Crop Hail Association (CCHA).
