Police are asking some residents in the North Charleston neighborhood of Charleston, West Virginia to shelter in place, on March 12, 2026, while CPD personnel respond to a barricaded gunman who is threatening himself and others. The call came in around 8:35 a.m. Thursday for the 400 block of 29th Street for one person in a residence with a weapon, making threats.
