President Droupadi Murmu has given assent to the Gujarat Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Bill. With this, Gujarat has become the second state in the country after Uttarakhand to implement the UCC. The same law will be applicable to all religions for registration of marriage, divorce, property rights, adoption and live-in relationships.
