On Sunday afternoon, a tornado struck the bay of the municipality of Baie-Mahault, in the French overseas region of Guadalupe (Antillas), sucking multiple fish from the water and raising them to several meters high. The phenomenon also caused certain material damage in the locality. Every year around 1,500 tornadoes are recorded in that region.
The overseas department was hit by a mini-tornade on Sunday 4 May. On the spot, the damage in the houses and on the roads is significant, but no victims are to be reported.
