Grim discovery at children’s playground
- On Friday, Victoria Police discovered a man's body at the Bruny Drive Park Playground in Tarneit, linking the death to an alleged kidnapping from a South Morang home invasion hours earlier.
- Multiple male offenders armed with machetes forced entry into a Darius Terrace home in South Morang at 3 am, assaulting a 30-year-old man before dragging him into a vehicle and fleeing.
- While another man and two children were inside the home during the assault, they remained uninjured. Homicide Squad detectives are investigating if a vehicle destroyed by fire in Eynesbury is linked to the incident.
