- To secure GreenPower's investment, the state committed a $14.6 million incentive package including $5 million LEDA, $4.6 million JTIP, $1.36 million RJTC, and $3.65 million High-Wage Jobs Tax Credit, and Santa Teresa's FTZ allows streamlined customs and tariff advantages, Atkinson stated.
- Operations are scheduled to begin in Q1 2026, with GreenPower taking possession on June 1, 2026; the company says the facility will support domestic manufacturing and zero-emission deployment.
- Borderplex logistics position Santa Teresa Borderplex, anchored by the Santa Teresa Port of Entry and rail links from Union Pacific and BNSF, complements the Electrify New Mexico initiative and EVaaS contracts for more than 5,000 state fleet vehicles.
