A second list of energy projects of common interest has been published by the European Commission, aimed at strengthening electricity links and supporting the development of hydrogen and CO2 infrastructure.
“Today, the Commission has granted 235 cross-border energy projects the Statute of Joint Interest Projects and of Joint Interest Projects – the second list of these since its launch in 2023. The selected projects will be eligible for EU funding through the Interconnection Mechanism to Europe and will benefit from accelerated licensing and regulation processes for a faster implementation and delivery”, announces the institution in communication.
