ChatGPT Gets GPT-6 And Intelligent UI For Interactive Answers

On Wednesday, OpenAI unveiled Intelligent UI for ChatGPT, introducing interactive visuals like charts and tappable buttons; the update launches today for paid subscribers and tomorrow for Free users.
Moving beyond text-heavy interfaces, the company aims to make learning complex topics easier, with product manager Aarush Selvan noting the design team carefully selected visuals that add value without clutter.
Interactive visuals allow users to explore airplane wing lift, calculate San Francisco apartment affordability, and navigate Alaska and Delta seat maps through custom elements generated in-line with responses.
Powered by the new GPT-6 model, the interface allows users to customize visual density, with GPT-6 Sol for paid tiers and GPT-6 Luna for Free users gaining access.
Mirroring generative UI features Google announced earlier this year, the update reflects a broader shift toward multimodal chatbot experiences, while the company notes that GPT-6 showed stronger resistance to safety training bypass attempts.
