Second Autopsy Reveals Signs of Torture, Bullet Wound in Mir Raza’s Body: Report

On Friday, authorities restored the original eight-member medical board to oversee the re-postmortem of 25-year-old entrepreneur Mir Raza Ali, reversing a controversial decision that had stalled the exhumation process.
The exhumation was deferred on Friday after the Mir family rejected a newly constituted five-member panel, insisting only the original board formed under court orders could ensure a transparent investigation.
On Saturday, lawyer Jibran Nasir confirmed the body was exhumed with a judicial magistrate present, while criticizing police for using "incomplete CCTV footage and out-of-context messages" to fuel rumors.
Nasir alleged the death was "murder following torture," claiming they have "proven 110 per cent" that a bullet entered the victim's back, not exited through it as initially reported.
Family counsel alleged police "do not want to investigate, but rather humiliate, harass and exhaust the family," while the family awaits the medical report to clarify whether the death was suicide or murder.
