- Earlier this month, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham expanded an emergency order authorizing the New Mexico National Guard to support local officials in northern New Mexico, allowing Adjutant General Miguel Aguilar to provide that support during the emergency.
- Facing rising public-safety threats, the Jicarilla Apache Nation, Pojoaque, San Ildefonso and Tesuque Pueblos and the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office requested assistance, prompting a State of Emergency in Rio Arriba County, Santa Fe County and Española.
- The Zia Task Force, made up of Army National Guard members, will respond to certain vehicle crashes on private property after police training and cannot enforce laws or make arrests; previous Guard work in Albuquerque under Operation SHIELD included scene security, drone deployments and prisoner transport.

- Adjutant General Miguel Aguilar told legislators the Guard is developing a mission to Española, and planning remains actively worked out while Española Police Chief Garcia expects roles like Albuquerque’s.
