Beshear Announces 13-Stop Tour Promoting His New Book, 'Go and Do Likewise'
The free event requires tickets, and the first 500 attendees will get a copy of Beshear’s book.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear announced a 13-stop book tour for his upcoming work, 'Go and Do Likewise: How We Heal a Broken Country,' with the first stop scheduled for Sept. 20 at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington.
Beshear's book explores how his Christian faith shapes his personal life and public service while critiquing how religious values have been used in American politics, including by President Donald Trump.
On Wednesday, Sept. 23, Beshear will discuss the book with journalist Michael Smerconish at the Free Library of Philadelphia at 7 p.m., part of the Author Events Series; Montgomery Auditorium is sold out but offers a $5 cash-only rush line.
The Warren County Public Library will host Beshear on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at The Capitol in Bowling Green, with additional tour stops scheduled for Cincinnati and Louisville before the tour concludes Oct. 6.
Inspired by the biblical story of the Good Samaritan, the book releases Sept. 22; all tickets are free and include a pre-signed copy, with additional copies available for purchase at events.
