Google has started extending Quick Share's AirDrop compatibility to Pixel 7, Pixel 8 and the Pixel Tablet. The rollout builds on last year's Pixel 10 debut and promises easier cross-platform transfers without servers or workarounds. Older devices now gain the direct peer-to-peer capability.
According to US media outlet Android Authority, Google has begun extending the interoperability feature that connects Android's sharing function "Quick Share" with Apple's "AirDrop" to older Pixel 7 and Pixel 8 series phones.
