New Google Labs ‘Dreambeans’ App Is Like a Hyper-Personalized Google Now
The app scans connected Google services and delivers 10 to 14 AI-illustrated stories each morning, with a waitlist open for other users.
Google Labs announced "Dreambeans" on Wednesday, an experimental AI app that curates personalized daily stories by analyzing data from connected Google services including Gmail, Calendar, Photos, YouTube, and Search history.
Designed as a "doomscrolling antidote," the app distills overnight data to "cut through the clutter," according to the company, addressing endless content feeds that trap users in infinite scroll patterns.
Each of the 10 to 14 daily stories features a "unique illustration" created with Nano Banana 2; if stories involve known individuals, Face Grouping includes their likeness from Google Photos.
Dreambeans is currently available to U.S.-based Google AI Ultra subscribers ages 18 and older for $100 per month, though interested users can join a waitlist via Google Forms for broader access.
The app represents Google's broader push toward proactive AI experiences that rely on personal context, positioning the experimental Labs project as a model for future products that prioritize user agency over endless engagement.
