Google says Gemini Spark will run projects in the background, with Ultra subscribers getting access first and Chrome support arriving later this summer.

- Powered by the new Gemini 3.5 Flash model, Spark integrates natively with Gmail, Docs, and Drive to pull information and manage files. It drafts content and updates documents in real time as new information arrives.
- Google is introducing the Agent Payments Protocol to prevent unauthorized spending and set strict purchase limits. Spark manages complex projects like organizing block parties or tee-ball snacks, tracking RSVPs and identifying constraints.
- A beta will soon be available for Google AI Ultra subscribers, with Chrome browser access coming later this summer. Google reduced the premium Ultra subscription to $200 monthly and introduced a new $100 tier.
