The Hague band Golden Earring will give a farewell concert in Rotterdam Ahoy on January 30, 2026. This was announced by band members Barry Hay, Cesar Zuiderwijk and Rinus Gerritsen in the Rotterdam concert hall on Tuesday. Band member George Kooymans, who is no longer able to perform due to ALS disease, is co-initiator.
The band from The Hague abruptly stopped in 2021 after guitarist George Kooymans was diagnosed with the fatal disease ALS.
One more time, singer Barry Hay (76), drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk (76) and bassist Rinus Gerritsen (78) will be on stage as the Golden Earring: on January 30, 2026 in Rotterdam Ahoy, with all kinds of guest artists.
