- A fan poll from November 19 to November 27 narrowed nominees before a second vote from December 3 to December 11, with the jury's vote counting for 80% and the public 20%.
- Ousmane Dembele won Best Men's Player and Aitana Bonmati won Best Women's Player, with Dembele stating, `we have had an exceptional year although the first part of the season was very difficult, but when difficulties come you have to keep fighting.`
- Cristiano Ronaldo attended, won Best Middle East Player, and sponsored the inaugural Globe Sport award given to Novak Djokovic, while Jorge Mendes invited Joaquim and Isabel, Diogo Jota's parents, for a posthumous tribute.
