Much of the peloton will be shaken about the Giro start in Bulgaria. The Black Sea overture caused laughs because of the almost empty all-inclusive hotels. A crash on Friday and, in particular, Saturday's horror crash left painful marks. And the fact that they only flew from Sofia to Italy late on Sunday evening did not cause smiling faces either.
