The final day of the 72nd Okinawa Prefectural Spring High School Baseball Tournament was held on the 5th at Okinawa Cellular Stadium Naha, where Ginoza defeated Konan 2-0 to win their third championship in 21 years. In the bottom of the third inning, with one out and a runner on second base, Ginoza's ninth batter, Chinen Masateru, hit a timely single to right field to take the lead by one point.
