'Gigantic' blackout in Amsterdam, 68,000 customers affected and most trams are not running
In Amsterdam, there is a “gigantic power failure” on Monday morning. Part of the center has been affected, as has much of the west of the city. This is reported by network operator Liander. According to the network operator, this would involve 68,000 connections, including many households, shops and other companies. Most trams are also unable to run.

Netbeheerder Liander meldt dat 68.000 aansluitingen zijn getroffen door de grote stroomstoring in Amsterdam. Zeker 41 straten in 21 postcodegebieden hebben last van de storing. Het gaat onder andere om een groot deel van Amsterdam-West en Nieuw-West, en een deel van het centrum.
