Gifu Man Fined 50,000 Yen for Trespassing on Shinkansen Tracks at Ogaki Summary Court (Kyodo News)

On the 9th, the Ogaki Summary Court issued a summary order to pay a fine of 50,000 yen to an unemployed man (82) from Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture, who had been summarily indicted for violating the Shinkansen Special Act by trespassing on the Tokaido Shinkansen tracks and disrupting operation. The order was dated the 8th. The man had stepped onto the tracks in the mountains of Sekigahara Town, Gifu Prefecture, on the night of September 17th.
