Germany's Serge Gnabry Out for 2026 World Cup

On Wednesday, Bayern Munich and Germany winger Serge Gnabry confirmed on Instagram that he will miss this summer's World Cup after suffering a significant injury.
Bayern announced Saturday that Gnabry tore the adductor muscle in his right thigh and will be out "for a longer period," ruling him out of the tournament.
Having started every World Cup qualifier for Germany, Gnabry was integral to coach Julian Nagelsmann's plans and contributed eight goals as Bayern Munich clinched the Bundesliga title.
"The last few days have been tough to process," Gnabry posted on Instagram on Wednesday, leaving a significant gap in the German squad for the tournament in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
Following their 4-2 Bundesliga title win against VfB Stuttgart, Bayern Munich faces Bayer Leverkusen in the German Cup semifinals before turning to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
