A 24-year-old mountaineer from Germany died on Saturday morning while climbing the Watzespitze in St. Leonhard im Pitztal, Tyrol. For unknown reasons, the man fell about 200 meters down the steep north face at a climbing section during his descent, sustaining fatal injuries, police said. The man was traveling with a second 31-year-old German mountaineer.
