The German export industry recorded a surprisingly strong increase at the end of last year.
A strong end to the year has helped German exporters achieve an unexpectedly positive balance for 2025: German exports have risen again for the first time after two consecutive years of decline.
Who would have thought that: Despite customs dramas, German foreign trade increased after two meager years. Especially December was a gift for exporters.
After all, the year for German exporters ends somewhat conciliatory. In December the business went unexpectedly strong. In the whole year there is a small plus. Experts, however, are divided in view of the coming months.
