Georgia cross country concludes regular season at Nuttycombe Invitational
Georgia closed its regular season with season-best efforts from several runners as both teams prepare for the SEC Championships.
Penn State and Georgia cross country teams competed at the Nuttycombe Invitational in Madison, Wisconsin, on Friday, facing 33 women's and 35 men's teams in one of the nation's most premier meets.
The Nittany Lions faced a deep field of 222 finishers, including 18 nationally ranked women's teams, serving as crucial postseason preparation for the Division 1 event.
Finishing ahead of three nationally ranked programs, Penn State secured 14th place overall, with freshman Vivian Kipruto leading the Nittany Lions by placing 39th with a time of 20:11.0.
Led by senior Ryan Olree's 37th-place finish in the 8k, Georgia's men's team placed 28th, while the women's team finished 32nd with Anastasia Nilsson and Addison Scott leading.
Both teams aim to demonstrate strength at the NCAA Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Friday, October 16th, before the 2026 SEC Championships on October 30th.
