New global ranking shows that in complex buildings markets, the ability to assure cost, schedule and delivery confidence is becoming a source of competitive advantage
Despite rising costs, Amsterdam proves to be an attractive city to build in. This is evident from research into construction costs by consultancy and engineering organization Arcadis. In the published International Construction Cost Index 2026 (ICC), Amsterdam ranks 67th. The most expensive city is Geneva in Switzerland, while the cheapest city turns out to be Bangalore (India).
