On Monday, Parke Heritage Middle School student Bree Desmith had the opportunity to use a simulator and get a sense of what it’s like to be a professional truck driver.

Young women in the carpentry trade or as a truck driver are no longer as unusual as they were a few years ago. However, in an important professional group the proportion of women remains low.
