The Katowice branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has announced the selection of a company to design a pair of rest areas on the S1 expressway, between the Żywiec Browar and Węgierska Górka interchanges. The contract could be signed as early as October. Construction is planned for 2029-2030.
