RON97, Unsubsidised RON95, Diesel Prices Fall
Finance Ministry says the cuts follow lower global crude prices, while subsidised RON95 and diesel stay at RM1.99 and RM2.10 a litre.
- Beginning Thursday, August 13, retail prices for non-subsidised petroleum products will decrease through August 19, the Finance Ministry announced, following a decline in global crude oil prices last week.
- Brent crude prices fell below US$80 per barrel at the start of the APM calculation period, their lowest level in three weeks, though prices later rose amid geopolitical tensions involving the United States, Iran, and the Strait of Hormuz.
- Under the new rates, RON97 will be priced at RM4.15 per litre, down 20 sen; non-subsidised RON95 will decrease 15 sen to RM3.62 per litre, while non-subsidised diesel drops 10 sen to RM4.47 per litre.
- The Government continues to protect households and businesses from price volatility through targeted subsidies, with subsidised prices remaining at RM1.99 per litre for RON95 under BUDI MADANI Diesel and RM2.10 per litre for Budi Diesel.
- Petroleum prices are expected to continue fluctuating significantly in the near future; the Finance Ministry will monitor global developments to ensure supply security for eligible Malaysians using their MyKad.

PETALING JAYA: Retail prices of non-subsidised petroleum products will fall from Aug 13 to 19 following a decline in global crude oil prices last week, says the Finance Ministry.
Fuels were charged again, after a period of cost-effectiveness, and all major gas chains increased prices, according to data presented on Wednesday at Digi24. The engine was charged up to 20 dollars per litre, and the petrol with up to 15 dollars. In Bucharest, the price of the standard fuel starts from 10.53 lei per litre, and the price of the standard fuel from 9.32 lei per litre, according to pretfuel.ro data.
