Jets WR Garrett Wilson Enters Concussion Protocol
Aaron Glenn said Wilson will be day-to-day after the Jets placed their top receiver in concussion protocol.
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson was placed in the NFL's concussion protocol, head coach Aaron Glenn announced on Wednesday, putting his availability in question for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Glenn confirmed the head injury occurred during the Jets' Week 8 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, with Wilson placed in the protocol on Nov. 2 following the team's defeat.
Wilson has recorded 43 receptions for 527 yards this season, including 6 catches for 83 yards on 12 targets against the Raiders in Week 8.
Though considered "day-to-day" by Glenn, it remains unclear if Wilson will clear the protocol before the Jets travel to Arrowhead Stadium on a three-game losing streak.
If Wilson cannot play, the Jets will rely on receivers Cooper and Mitchell, with Isaiah Williams and Tim Patrick candidates for additional offensive work in Week 9.
