Galena Park Parks Close at Night and Announce New Measures

HOUSTON – With immediate effect, all parks in Galena Park will remain closed daily from 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. until further notice, said Mayor Esmeralda Moya. The decision was made after the shooting recorded on Sunday night on a basketball court, which left a dead person and two more injured. The mayor warned that “we will not tolerate actions that threaten the safety of residents.”
