Employees with the National Institute for Occupational Safety (NIOSH) are again staffing the Coal Workers’ Health Surveillance Program’s mobile black lung screening unit in West Virginia. A stop in Morgantown, West Virginia, on July 31, 2025, the first time the mobile unit has been back in the field since federal government cuts shut it down in April 2025.
