Full-time Foran: Manly locks in NRL head coach on multi-year deal
The former Test playmaker earned the job after guiding Manly to seven wins in nine matches and restoring the club’s premiership hopes.
On Tuesday, the Manly Sea Eagles officially appointed Kieran Foran as permanent head coach on a three-year deal running through the end of 2029.
Manly chairman Scott Penn appointed Foran after sacking Anthony Seibold following an 0-3 start; Foran then guided the team to seven wins from nine matches since late March.
Foran brings 318 games of playing experience and a 2011 premiership title to the role; star fullback Tom Trbojevic praised his impact, saying "I've absolutely loved working under Foz."
Securing Foran provides a recruitment boost as Manly aims to retain rising stars; contracts for key players including Trbojevic expire November 1, 2027.
Penn envisions Foran at the helm for the next 20 years to build a dynasty while competing for premierships immediately. "We see this as a dynasty we're building," Penn said.
