Full slatted floor end in mid-2034 now fixed

Summary by Salzburger Nachrichten
At the conclusion of its plenary session on Tuesday afternoon, the National Council shortened the deadline for the ban on fully slatted floors in pig farming. These will now be prohibited from mid-2034. However, for farms that invested in new barns between June 2018 and December 2022, there will be a hardship provision with an individual transition period of 16 years. All parliamentary groups except the Greens supported the ban.
